Malshej Ghat : कोरोली में दो रात बिताने के बाद हम सवेरे सात बजे आगे के सफर पर निकल पड़े। हमारी इस ट्रिप का अगला और आखिरी गन्तव्य था मालशेज घाट। रास्ते में हमने गोदावरी में स्नान कर त्रयम्बकेश्वर महादेव मन्दिर में ज्योतिर्लिंग के दर्शन किए। यहां से आगे का सफर करीब सवा तीन घण्टे का बताया गया था पर सहयाद्रि पर्वतमाला की घुमावदार सड़कों पर जगह-जगह रुक कर प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्य का आनन्द लेते और खाते-पीते हुए जब हम मालशेज घाट (Malshej Ghat) पहंचे तो दोपहर के दो बज रहे थे।

मालशेज घाट (Malshej Ghat) की प्रसिद्धी यहां के बांधों, जलप्रपातों और किलों की वजह से तो है ही, यह विशेष रूप से गुलाबी राजहंस के लिए भी जाना जाता है जो जुलाई से सितम्बर के दौरान यहां से पलायन करते हैं।

मालसेज घाट में घूमने योग्य स्थान
जलप्रपात : इस पर्यटन स्थल में घूमने की शुरुआत आप यहां के जलप्रपातों से कर सकते हैं। मानसून के दौरान ये उफान पर होते हैं और इन्हें देखना एक अलग ही तरह का अनुभव होता है। कई प्रपात तो इतना उफना जाते हैं कि पानी सड़कों तक आ जाता है। इधर-उधर बहते पानी में चलना काफी शानदार अनुभव होता है। इन जलप्रपातों को देखने के लिए आप कभी भी यहां जा सकते हैं पर हम आपको वर्षा ऋतु में ही जाने की सलाह देंगे, साथ ही यह भी कहेंगे कि पानी के तेज बहाव के बीच जाने से बचें क्योंकि जलधारा के बीच एक बार लड़खड़ाये नहीं कि जान के लाले पड़ सकते हैं। यहां के जलप्रपातों में कालू जलप्रपात सबसे ज्यादा दर्शनीय है। इसे क्षेत्र का सबसे बड़ा और सबसे ऊंचा प्रपात माना जाता है जिसमें जलधारा करीब 300 मीटर की ऊंचाई से चट्टानों पर गिरती है।
पिम्पलगांव जोगा बांध : पुष्पावती नदी पर बना यह पांच किलोमीटर लम्बा बांध अब मालशेज घाट के प्रमुख पर्यटन स्थलों में शामिल हो चुका है। यहां के प्राकृतिक दृश्य तो मनमोहक होते ही हैं, आप विभिन्न प्रजातियों के दुर्लभ पक्षियों को भी देख सकते हैं। इनमें पित्ता, मोहन, एल्पाइन स्विफ्ट, ग्रीन पिज, बटेर, क्रेक्श, फ्लेमिंगो आदि शामिल हैं।
आजोबा पहाड़ी किला :
यह किला ट्रैकर्स और रॉक क्लाइम्बर्स के बीच सबसे लोकप्रिय ट्रैक और गन्तव्य में से एक है। किले के पास स्थित दारकोबा पहाड़ी पर ट्रैकिंग करना काफी चुनौतीपूर्ण माना जाता है। मानसून के दौरान यह पूरा क्षेत्र पन्ने की तरह दमकने लगता है। अजोबा को स्थानीय लोककथाओं और मान्यताओं में अत्यन्त पवित्र स्थान माना गया है। कहा जाता है कि देवी सीता अपने निर्वासन के दौरान यहीं पर एक आश्रम में रही थीं। पहाड़ की चढ़ाई के आधे रास्ते पर वाल्मीकि आश्रम और गुफा स्थित है जहां देवी सीता अपने दोनों पुत्रों लव और कुश के साथ रहती थीं। पहाड़ी का नाम “अजोबा” शब्द से आया है जिसका मराठी में अर्थ दादा होता है। लव और कुश महर्षि वाल्मिकी को अजोबा कहकर ही सम्बोधित करते थे।
हरिशचन्द्रगढ़ किला :
खिरेश्वर से आठ किलोमीटर दूर स्थित यह ऐतिहासिक किला समुद्र की सतह से 1,424 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर है। यह पूरा क्षेत्र अपने चुनौतीपूर्ण ट्रैक्स के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। यह किला मूल रूप से कलचुरी राजवंश के शासनकाल यानी छठी शताब्दी का है। अन्दाजित ने 11वीं शताब्दी में यहां विभिन्न गुफाओं को बनवाया। यह किला मुगलों के नियन्त्रण में भी रहा लेकिन 1747 में मराठाओं ने इस पर कब्जा कर लिया। किले से सटी कई गुफाएं हें जिनमें केदारेश्वर गुफा सबसे दर्शनीय है। इसमें एक विशाल शिवलिंग है। हालांकि यह शिवलिंग ज्यादातर समय पानी में डूबा रहता है। इस क्षेत्र में माइक्रोलिथिक मानव के अवशेष मिले हैं। यह क्षेत्र घने जंगलों से घिरा हुआ है जिनमें करवंड, कर्वी जाली, ध्याति, उक्शी, मैडवेल, कुड़ा, पंगली, हेक्कल, पनफुति, गरवेल आदि पेड़-पौधे देखने को मिलते है। इन जंगलों में लोमड़ी, रणदुक्कर, भैंसा, खरगोश, भिकर आदि वन्यजीव हैं।
कोकम काड़ा :
यह एक चट्टानी क्षेत्र है। कोकम काड़ा के नाम से प्रसिद्ध इस चट्टान का आकार कुछ-कुछ नाग के फन जैसा है जो देखने भर से ही रोमांचक एहसास कराता है।
लेन्याद्री गुफाए : लेन्याद्रि का शाब्दिक अर्थ है “पर्वत गुफा”। मालशेज घाट से करीब 29 किलोमीटर दूर स्थित इन गुफाओं का उल्लेख गणेश और स्थल पुराणों में भी किया गया है। किंवदन्तियों में कहा गया है कि देवी पार्वती ने भगवान गणेश से वरदान पाने के लिए यहां कई वर्षों तक तपस्या की। उनके समर्पण और भक्ति से प्रसन्न होकर गणेश ने उन्हें आशीर्वाद दिया और उनके पुत्र के रूप में जन्म लिया। लेन्याद्रि गुफा के मन्दिर में गणेश की मूर्ति को “गिरिजात्मज” कहा जाता है जिसका अर्थ है “गिरिजा से जन्मा”। यह मन्दिर अष्टविनायक मन्दिरों में से एक है।

कब जायें
अक्टूबर से मार्च तक का समय मालशेज घाट घूमने के लिए सबसे अच्छा माना जाता है। लेकिन, यदि आप खासतौर पर यहां के जलप्रपातों को देखने का आनन्द लेना चाहते हैं तो जुलाई से सितम्बर का समय सही रहेगा, हालांकि इस दौरान ट्रैकिंग करना खतरनाक हो सकता है।

वायु मार्ग : पुणे इण्टरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट (124 किलोमीटर) और मुम्बई का छत्रपति शिवाजी महाराज इण्टरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट (133 किलोमीटर) मालशेज घाट के निकटतम एयरपोर्ट है।
रेल मार्ग : निकटतम रेलवे स्टेशन कल्याण जंक्शन यहां से करीब 85 किमी पड़ता है। मुम्बई, पुणे, दिल्ली भुवनेश्वर, पटना, लखनऊ, वाराणसी, हजूर साहिब नान्देड़, जयपुर काकीनाडा आदि से यहां के लिए ट्रेन मिलती है।
सड़क मार्ग : कल्याण को अहमदनगर से जोड़ने वाला राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग 61 मालशेज दर्रे से गुजरता है। मालशेज घाट से कल्याण करीब 85, ठाणे 106, पुणे शहर 129 और मुम्बई का बान्द्रा वेस्ट 134 किलोमीटर पड़ता है। इन सभी स्थानों से यहां के लिए बस और टैक्सी मिलती हैं। (जारी)
