News Haveli, चेन्नई। (Government confiscated all the property of Jayalalitha) तमिलनाडु की पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री जयललिता के खिलाफ आय से अधिक संपत्ति के मामले में अदालत के फैसले के बाद उनकी संपत्तियां शुक्रवार को तमिलनाडु सरकार को सौंप दी गईं। इन संपत्तियों में 27 किलो सोना, 1116 किलो चांदी और 1526 एकड़ जमीन शामिल है। स्टार फिल्म अभिनेत्री रह चुकी जयललिता (Jayalalitha) का वर्ष 2016 में निधन हो गया था। उनके खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई पूरी होने के बाद अब ये संपत्तियां सरकार के पास चली गई हैं।
भतीजी ने लड़ी लंबी कानूनी लड़ाई
जयललिता के निधन के बाद इन संपत्तियों के मालिकाना हक को लेकर लंबी कानूनी लड़ाई लड़ी गई। जयललिता की भतीजी जे दीपा ने इन संपत्तियों पर दावा किया था और इनपर मालिकाना हक की मांग को लेकर अदालत गई थीं लेकिन अदालत ने उनके खिलाफ फैसला सुनाया। अदालत ने कहा कि भ्रष्टाचार के मामले में जब्त की गई संपत्तियां सही मायने में तमिलनाडु सरकार की हैं।
जयललिता के खिलाफ आय से अधिक संपत्ति अर्जित करने का मामला 1991 से 1996 के बीच उनके पहले मुख्यमंत्री कार्यकाल के दौरान दर्ज किया गया था। आरोप था कि उन्होंने अपनी वैध आय से कहीं अधिक संपत्ति जमा की जिसमें लगभग 67 करोड़ रुपये की संपत्ति शामिल थी। यह मामला भ्रष्टाचार निवारण अधिनियम, 1988 के तहत दर्ज किया गया था और इसकी जांच केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो (CBI) और आयकर विभाग ने की थी।
सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने पलटा हाई कोर्ट का फैसला
बंगलुरु की विशेष अदालत ने 27 सितंबर 2014 को जयललिता को दोषी ठहराया था और उन्हें 4 साल की सजा देने के साथ ही 100 करोड़ रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया। इसके बाद जयललिता को मुख्यमंत्री पद से इस्तीफा देना पड़ा और जेल जाना पड़ा। हालांकि, मई 2015 में कर्नाटका हाई कोर्ट ने उन्हें बरी कर दिया और वह फिर से मुख्यमंत्री बन गईं। लेकिन, 2017 में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने हाई कोर्ट के फैसले को पलटते हुए निचली अदालत की सजा को बरकरार रखा। इसी बीच जयललिता का 5 दिसंबर 2016 में निधन हो जाने के कारण उनके खिलाफ की गई कार्रवाई का समापन हो गया।
14 फरवरी को सरकार को किया गया संपत्तियां का ट्रांसफर
जयललिता की संपत्तियों को जब्त करने की प्रक्रिया में 27 किलो 558 ग्राम सोने के जेवरात, 1116 किलो चांदी और 1526 एकड़ के भू-खण्ड/जमीनें शामिल थीं। इन संपत्तियों को कर्नाटक विधानसभा के कोषागार में सुरक्षित रखा गया था। अब 14 फरवरी 2025 को इन संपत्तियों को तमिलनाडु सरकार को सौंप दिया गया। यह प्रक्रिया अदालत और सरकारी अधिकारियों की मौजूदगी में पूरी की गई।
