News Havel, कोलकाता। (Kolkata doctor rape-murder case) कोलकाता के आरजी कर मेडिकल कॉलेज अस्पताल में ट्रेनी डॉक्टर की दुष्कर्म के बाद हत्या के दोषी संजय रॉय (Sanjay Roy) को सियालदह की विशेष अदालत ने सोमवार को उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई। अदालत ने कहा, “यह रेयर ऑफ रेयरेस्ट मामला नहीं है। इसलिए मौत की सजा नहीं दी सकती।” घटना के 164 दिन बाद अदालत का यह फैसला आया है।
अदालत ने राज्य (पश्चिम बंगाल सरकारा) को पीड़ित परिवार को 17 लाख रुपये मुआवजा देने का आदेश दिया लेकिन परिवार ने इसे लेने से मना कर दिया। इससे पहले दोपहर 12:30 बजे अदालत ने दोषी संजय रॉय, सीबीआई और पीड़ित परिवार के वकील की बातें सुनीं। जज अनिर्बान दास ने संजय रॉय से कहा कि यह बताया जा चुका है कि तुम किन अपराधों के दोषी हो। अदालत ने संजय को बोलने का मौका दिया था।
इससे पहले, 18 जनवरी को अदालत ने संजय रॉय को दोषी करार दिया था लेकिन सजा पर फैसला सुरक्षित रख लिया था। संजय की सजा के लिए 160 पेज का फैसला लिखा गया है। कोलकाता के आरजी कर मेडिकल कॉलेज-अस्पताल में 8-9 अगस्त की रात ट्रेनी डॉक्टर का रेप-मर्डर हुआ था। संजय रॉय को 10 अगस्त को गिरफ्तार किया गया।
संजय को मर्डर के तहत दोषी ठहराया गया
संजय रॉय को भारतीय न्याय संहिता के सेक्शन 64 (रेप), 66 रेप के कारण मौत और सेक्शन 103-1 हत्या के तहत दोषी ठहराया गया। 103 (1) के तहत फांसी या आजीवन कारावास, सेक्शन 66 के तहत कम से कम 20 साल उम्र कैद, सेक्शन 64 के तहत कम से कम 10 साल की उम्रकैद की सजा दी जाती है। इसे मृत्यु तक आजीवन कारावास में बदला जा सकता है।
8-9 अगस्त 2024 की रात हुई थी ट्रेनी डॉक्टर की बलात्कार के बाद हत्या
आरजी कर हॉस्पिटल में 8-9 अगस्त 2025 की रात ट्रेनी डॉक्टर की बलातकार के बाद हत्या कर दी गई थी। 9 अगस्त की सुबह डॉक्टर की लाश सेमिनार हॉल में मिली थी। सीसीटीवी (CCTV) फुटेज के आधार पर पुलिस ने संजय रॉय नाम के सिविक वॉलंटियर को 10 अगस्त को गिरफ्तार किया था। घटना को लेकर कोलकाता समेत देशभर में प्रदर्शन हुए। बंगाल में 2 महीने से भी ज्यादा समय तक स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं ठप रही थीं
