हाल ही में अरविंद केजरीवाल और मनीष सिसोदिया ने दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट का रुख कर कहा था कि जांच एजेंसी को मुकदमा आगे बढ़ाने के लिए जरूरी मंजूरी नहीं मिली है, इसलिए ट्रायल कोर्ट में चल रही कार्यावाही पर रोक लगाई जाए। शुक्रवार को दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने इस मामले में ईडी को नोटिस जारी कर जवाब मांगा है। मामले में अगली सुनवाई फरवरी 2025 में होगी।

5 दिसंबर को ईडी ने दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल विनय कुमार सक्सेना से मंजूरी मांगी थी। अपनी आखिरी चार्जशीट में डी ने अरविंद केजरीवाल के साथ-साथ मनीष सिसौदिया को दिल्ली शराब घोटाले का मास्टरमाइंड बताया है। ईडी का दावा है कि अरविंद केजरीवाल और मनीष सिसोदिया ने साउथ लॉबी की मदद के लिए आबकारी नीति 2021-22 में बदलाव किए जिसमें कथित तौर पर 100 करोड़ रुपये की रिश्वत दी गई थी। इस 100 करोड़ रुपये की रिश्वत में से आप  ने 45 करोड़ रुपये का इस्तेमाल गोवा विधानसभा चुनाव प्रचार में किया।
