संगठन के 4 नए सदस्यों में मिस्र, इथोपिया, ईरान और यूएई (संयुक्त अरब अमीरात शमिल हैं। इन 4 नए देशों को जगह दिलाने में भारत की अहम भूमिका रही है।

कजान (रूस)। ब्रिक्स (BRICS) समिट 2024 में इस संगठन में 4 नए देशों को जोड़ने के अलावा 13 पार्टनर देश भी जोड़े गए हैं। इनमें तुर्की, अल्जीरिया, मलेशिया, इंडोनेशिया, कजाकिस्तान, नाइजीरिया और उज्बेकिस्तान को मिलाकर 7 मुस्लिम बहुल देश हैं। संगठन में पाकिस्तान को जगह नहीं मिली है, हालांकि उसने BRICS देशों में शामिल होने के लिए आवेदन दिया था। पार्टनर देश BRICS के औपचारिक सदस्य नहीं होंगे लेकिन संगठन की प्लानिंग का हिस्सा होंगे। संगठन के 4 नए सदस्यों में मिस्र, इथोपिया, ईरान और यूएई (संयुक्त अरब अमीरात शमिल हैं। इन 4 नए देशों को जगह दिलाने में भारत की अहम भूमिका रही है।

इस बार 30 से ज्यादा देशों ने BRICS की सदस्यता के लिए आवेदन किया था। BRICS समिट में बुधवार को रूसी राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमिर पुतिन ने कहा था कि अब नए देशों को शामिल किए जाने से पहले यह ध्यान रखा जाएगा कि इससे संगठन की कार्य क्षमता पर कोई असर न पड़े।

आज गुरुवार को होने वाली BRICS प्लस की बैठक में भारत की तरफ से विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर हिस्सा लेंगे। इस बैठक में कुल 28 देश और 5 अंतरराष्ट्रीय संगठन हिस्सा लेंगे। बैठक के बाद BRICS देशों का साझा बयान यानी कजान डिक्लेरेशन (Kazan declaration) जारी होगा।

नरेंद्र मोदी और शी जिनपिंग की द्विपक्षीय बैठक

BRICS समिट 2024 में बुधवार को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र  मोदी ने समिट से अलग चीन के राष्ट्रपति शी जिनपिंग से द्विपक्षीय बैठक की थी। दोनों के बीच 5 साल बाद हुई इस बौठक में सीमा विवाद को जल्द से जल्द निपटाने, आपसी सहयोग और आपसी विश्वास को बनाए रखने पर जोर दिया गया। 2020 में गलवान झड़प के बाद दोनों नेताओं की यह पहली द्विपक्षीय बैटक थी। इसमें नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा, “हम 5 साल बाद औपचारिक रूप से बैठक कर रहे हैं। पिछले 4 सालों में सीमा पर पैदा हुई समस्याओं पर जो सहमति बनी है, उसका हम स्वागत करते हैं। सीमा पर शांति बनाए रखना हमारी प्राथमिकता होनी चाहिए। आपसी विश्वास, आपसी सम्मान और आपसी संवेदनशीलता हमारे संबंधों की नींव बनी रहनी चाहिए।“

जिनपिंग ने भी दोनों देशों को अपने मतभेदों को सही तरीके से संभालने पर जोर दिया। चीनी राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि हमें अपने विकास के सपनों को साकार करने के लिए कम्युनिकेशन और आपसी सहयोग को मजबूत करना चाहिए। भारत और चीन को संबंध स्थिर बनाए रखने के लिए एक-दूसरे के साथ मिलकर काम करना चाहिए, जिससे दोनों देशों के विकास लक्ष्यों को पूरा करने में मदद मिल सके।
