News Havel, श्रीनगर। (Zed Mod Tunnel Inauguration) प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने सोमवार को जम्मू-कश्मीर के गांदरबल में जेड मोड़ सुरंग (Zed Mod Tunnel) का उद्घाटन किया। श्रीनगर-लेह राजमार्ग (NH-1) पर बनी 6.4 किलोमीटर लंबी दो लेन की यह सुरंग श्रीनगर को सोनमर्ग से जोड़ेगी। हिमपात की वजह से यह राजमार्ग साल में 6 महीने बंद रहता है। सुरंग बनने से लोगों को हर मौसम में आने-जाने (All Weather Connectivity) की सुविधा मिलेगी।
श्रीनगर-लेह राजमार्ग पर गगनगीर से सोनमर्ग के बीच पहले 1 घंटे से ज्यादा समय लगता था। इस सुरंग के कारण अब यह दूरी 15 मिनट में पूरी हो सकेगी। इसके अलावा गाड़ियों की रफ्तार भी 30 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटा से बढ़कर 70 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटा हो जाएगी। इस दुर्गम पहाड़ी क्षेत्र को पार करने में पहले 3 से 4 घंटे का समय लगता था। अब यह दूरी मात्र 45 मिनट में पूरी होगी।
लद्दाख तक सेना की पहुंच होगी आसान
पर्य़टन के अलावा देश की सुरक्षा के लिए भी यह परियोजना अहम है। इससे लद्दाख तक सेना की पहुंच आसान होगी। यानी बर्फबारी के समय जो सेना को जो सामान वायुसेना के विमान में लेकर जाना पड़ता था, अब वह सड़क मार्ग से ही कम खर्च में पहुंच सकेगा।
जेड मोड़ टनल 2700 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से बनी है। इसका निर्माण 2018 में शुरू हुआ था। यह सुरंग 434 किलोमीटर लंबी श्रीनगर-करगिल-लेह राजमार्ग परियोजना (Srinagar-Kargil-Leh Highway Project) का हिस्सा है। इस परियोजना के तहत 31 सुरंगें बनाई जा रही हैं जिनमें से 20 जम्मू-कश्मीर और 11 लद्दाख में हैं।
पहाड़ दरकने का खतरा नहीं
यह सुरंग न्यू ऑस्ट्रियन टनलिंग मेथड (NATM) से बनी है। इस प्रोसेस में सुरंग खोदने के साथ-साथ ही उसका मलबा भी निकाला जाता है। जैसे-जैसे मलबा निकालकर अंदर की ओर रास्ता बनता है, वैसे-वैसे ही टनल वॉल भी तैयार की जाती है। इससे पहाड़ों के दरकने का खतरा खत्म हो जाता है।
NATM तकनीक में सुरंग का काम शुरू होने से पहले पहाड़, उसके आस-पास की जलवायु और मिट्टी की जांच की जाती है। अनुमान लगाया जाता है कि टनल प्रोसेस में एक समय में कितनी मशीनरी और कितने लोग अंदर काम कर सकेंग, जिससे पहाड़ के बेस को नुकसान न पहुंचे और दुर्घटना की स्थिति पैदा न हो।
2028 में यह होगी एशिया की सबसे लंबी सुरंग
जेड मोड़ सुरंग के आगे बन रही जोजिला सुरंग (Zojila Tunnel) का काम 2028 में पूरा होगा। इसके तैयार होने के बाद ही बालटाल (अमरनाथ गुफा), कारगिल और लद्दाख को ऑल वेदर कनेक्टिविटी मिलेगी। दोनों सुरंगों के शुरू होने के बाद इसकी कुल लंबाई 12 किलोमीटर हो जाएगी। इसमें 2.15 किलोमीटर की सर्विस/लिंक रोड भी जुड़ जाएगी। इसके बाद यह एशिया का सबसे लंबी सुरंग बन जाएगी।
इस समय हिमाचल प्रदेश में बनी अटल सुरंग एशिया की सबसे लंबी सुरंग है। इसकी लंबाई 9.2 किलोमीटर है। यह मनाली को लाहौल स्पीति से जोड़ती है।
